About Course
This course is designed to provide individuals with the essential knowledge required to study for their M1 motorcycle licence, test their knowledge, and prepare for their M road tests in Ontario. It covers guidelines for driving motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles, limited-speed motorcycles (LSMs), and motor-assisted bicycles (mopeds), emphasizing safe and responsible driving practices to mitigate the inherent dangers of operating these vehicles.
Course Objectives:
• To equip students with the knowledge needed to safely operate motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles, LSMs, and mopeds in Ontario.
• To prepare students for the M1 motorcycle licence test and subsequent M road tests.
• To educate students on strategies to avoid collisions, recognizing that driver error is the most common cause of traffic collisions and that motorcycle/moped drivers are more susceptible to injury or death.
• To highlight the importance of understanding and adhering to Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act and regulations.
